Dreamz are often ze subconscious manivestations of ze thorts zat you haf zuppressed in vaking life! (as a famous viennese psychiatrist would have said) It could be that you perceive that a situation (work, relationship etc) is threatening you- ie as in 'this is killing me'- and your dream is just the expression of this on a metaphorical level. Maybe it's a wake-up call to remove yourself from the situation.

My first thought would be a fear of being too reactive and not assertive enough. Perhaps other people have too much control over your life. Try to open up and change situations that make you uncomfortable, rather than being the victim.

I've dreamt a lot about that, too. Maybe it means you have thought about it on a few ocassions -- not necessarily that you will die, but what it is like to be murdered?
