I am currently a high school senior, and have my mind set on taking the pre-med route at Thiel College, Pa. I can't really imagine myself doing anything other than a career in medicine. Earlier today i read a description of pre-med that was somewhat discouraging. In high school i have a 3.1 gpa without really trying, including some honors classes. On my ACTs i got a 27. I'm worried that I will not do well in college if i take pre-med. Can anyone give me their own description of their pre-med experiences and any other advice that may be helpful.

There is no comparison between high school and college. If you have that GPA, you will absolutely do great in college. College is harder in that the work load it greater, but it's actually easier by far, because you want to be there, and you choose your classes, and you feel that you are finally doing something you want to do, not doing things you are told to do..

Pre-Med is hard only because of the amount of information you must memorize, but if you're interested, it will be a LOT of fun. Just wait and see..

Think of the great doctors of this world. The very best weren't always 4.0 students; but rather they were passionate about their chosen field of medicine....

Go to any school you can get into. Do great your first two years and if you still love your pre-med studies, transfer to another school you like even more your next two years.. You will do fabulously, if you don't let your mind spoil it for you.

OK?
