You don't need a degree. You have to stop eating meat and stop wearing fur.

This isn't going to do you any good for Vet school. You need to take ONLY general ed class at a CC in order for them to transfer over to a four year school. Taking equine classes at a CC level isn't going to transfer over You must have a Bachelor degree then apply to Vet schools. There are only 28 Vet schools in the US. They are highly competitive and very difficult to get into. You must have a very high GPA (grades) all through college. You must have a Doctorate degree to be a Vet. There are other areas you can study to work with animals. If you like horses, check into Stephens College in MO. Becoming a Vet is very difficult, and expensive. Not many students get in, you need a "plan B" in case you don't get in to a Vet school.

First you need to complete the pre-veterinary requirements. Some colleges have pre-veterinary as a major, some dont. So if yours doesnt, pick a degree in something like biology.

Then in graduate school you will get your Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. :P
