It depends on what you mean by modern.

The Modern period (17th-18thc.): the standard six are Descartes, Spinoza, Leibniz, Locke, Berkeley, Hume; sometimes people include late Enlightenment figures like Rousseau, Reid, and Kant; other important figures include Hobbes, Malebranche, Gassendi, Pascal, Arnauld, Wolff, the 3rd Earl of Shaftesbury, Butler, Hutcheson, Adam Smith, Samuel Clarke, Pierre Bayle, and lots of others that don't come to mind.

Contemporary (analytic) philosophers: big names include Saul Kripke, Hilary Putnam, David Lewis, Donald Davidson, John Rawls, Robert Nozick, Thomas Nagel, Martha Nussbaum, and Jerry Fodor.

I like Peter Singer and Stanley Fish. They might only be popular with the public as opposed to dyed -in-the-wool philosophers, but there you are.
