I sort them by color of course!!
I line them up in columns of two of each color.
First I make each color even (I eat the odd ones first).
Then, I start eating the color with the most until all the columns are even.
Then I work from darkest (brown) to lightest (yellow), keeping the columns even.
I know it's odd-but hey, they're MY M&M's. My only other true food "oddity" is that I don't like my food touching (not so unusual).

No thats rediculous! I just seperate them by color and then make them have battles by squeezing them against eachother until one of them (the loser) gets crushed. Then the winner gets to fight whichever of the other colors he wants until he is crushed too. The war ends when theres only one color left...the victors....the proud champions of M&M warfare. Forever shall thier names live on. One day I'll make a life-sized sculpture of this one orange M&M. He squished like 7 other M&M's in a row before he fell...a martyr...a hero.....securing victory for his surviving team. Hail that one orange M&M.

um negative...but my sister in law swears that they all taste different and will NOT eat the brown ones lol. crazy girl
