Yes, we know.
Unfortunately we don't have 10's of millions of dollars to bribe politicians the way the oil companies do, so our opinion of all this really doesn't matter. We also can't control the fact that the news companies are a huge monopoly world-wide.
The other thing we can't control or change is the fact that men love war---it's the game they love to play, and they will find any excuse.

Interesting question - especially when you take a look at the word "propaganda" itself:
in English is a loan word from Italian. In Italian, the word means "propogation", which is the noun form of the verb which means (among other technical terms from mathmatics and biology), "to spread, to disseminate, to make widely known."
on the other hand, simply means "recent information.
Of course, Webster's also defines in current usage as "information and opinions spread to influence people in favor of or against some doctrine or idea" and when we use to word, we are usually implying nefarious purpose. That's the difference between the denotation of a word and its conotation.
However, if you think about it, all news (new information) must be propagated (spread, released, told) or else it becomes a secret - and secrets get us in trouble. But that's not really what you're asking, is it?
So to answer your question less disingenuously, no, I am not aware of any such thing, because for me to be aware of it, it would have to be true. Since it is not true, for be me to believe such a thing (to be "aware" of it) would mean that I, myself was a victim of propaganda.
I can confidently say that the statement "all your news is Propaganda" is untrue because of the use of the word "all", if nothing else. "All" is a vast and sweeping generalization. It encompases everything from major network broadcasts down to the most humble community newsletter. If it were true, that would be an impressive conspiracy - and you're right, "scary in a '1984' kind of way." However, the larger something like that is, the more difficult it is to hold together. If even *one* article in one newspaper in one podunk town does not maintain the "propaganda" then the word "all" is no longer true and your assertion is no longer true.
Now, in saying that American news is not all propaganda, I'm not say that all American news is free of bias (i.e. "tempermental or emotional leaning or one side" [noun] and/or "to cause to be prejudiced in opinion, judgement, etc." [verb]). Of course it's not. It is, frankly, impossible to be human and not be biased. The key for the viewer/reader is to be discerning and sift out the bias in the news he/she recieves.
I have lived in the United States and I have lived overseas in five countries in three other parts of the world. I am well aware of the shortcomings of American media, but I can see its strengths as well. I am not willing (to borrow an apt quip) "to ascribe to malice what can more easily be explained by incompetence".
Are you familiar with the concept of Ockam's Razor? The principle is that the simplest answer is generally the correct one. Your accusation of propaganda, as I have indicated, calls for a vast and unwieldy conspiracy. The simpler answer is that Americans just don't know enough about the middle east. That is ignorance (in the sense of "not knowing" rather than "stupidity"), not malice. The best way to help the situation is not with alarmist questions like this one, but with calm, rational dialog.

I realize it, a few others realize it, but the masses are so brain washed on it all they believe what is fed to them by the boob tube. There was a reason in the late 1970's that people started to call a TV a boob tube...cause you turn into a boob when you watch and believe it.
To many here take stuff at face value and never do any homework on their own. Even 9/11 the masses still believe that these terrorist planes came in and did it all. Basic 4th grade science proves that entire theory totally wrong. So either we were all taught the wrong science....or our government lied to us.
Not to mention we have on video tape, Donald Rumsfeld in 2002 admitting that he was the master mind behind the appollo missions and the moon landing. How it was 100% fake and all was a hoax to make the world believe that the USA could do anything. To retain its position as the no.1 super power.
Well one has to wonder.....if Rumsfeld can pull off the moon landing and fool the entire world and make it common knowledge that we landed there in basic school books. Then really....how hard was it for him to dream up and pull off the entire 9/11 attacks? Piece of cake actually compared to the moon missions.
Like they say.....the masses are ignorant cause they don't want change. For them to believe the truth would mean all they want and like would be false and fake.
We do live in a matrix world, whether you believe it or not.

I'll throw THIS question back at you:
Are YOU practicing TAQAYYAH as it is written in the Q'ran?
I get MY news WORLDWIDE. BBC, ABC ( the OTHER ABC ), Deutsche Welle, The People's Daily, so you can't say the only propaganda I get is American.
If you want the BOOK on propaganda and how to use it, just read your Q'RAN.
It makes " Mein Kampf " look like a fairy tale..

No I am not. Mainly because your statement isn't accurate.
And don't listen to the poster two above me. He is a blinded by his passionate undying hatred of Jews. He has a long history of vile, hate-filled posts. He is completely ignorant of the ways of the world and strikes me as little more than a spoiled child.

When you leave America the real propaganda starts. However, if you live in the U.S.A you can get any news source in the world from any angle so i don't see how if you can be propagandized unless you listen exclusively to Shawn Hannity or Michel Moore.
