Does anyone know who originally sang "Right Here Waiting?" I know Clay Aiken remade it, and its on his new cd, but I don't know who sang it originally.

This was indeed originally sung & written by Richard Marx. It was a huge hit in 1989. He wrote it as a love letter to his wife, actress Cynthia Rhodes, who is best known for her role in Dirty Dancing as Penny, Patrick Swayze's dance partner.
