To shut down your myspace or facebook page wehn someone adds you the same day? I don't want them to think I did it b/c of them. I've wanted to do it for a few days now. And also when a few other people said they're glad you got it but it's just causing you a lot of stress?

Well, you could easily send everyone a message saying that you are shutting down your group, and explain how you've wanted to do it for a while. That would clear the air in most situations.
Though, in reality, I don't know if your friend would think it was because they joined, but if you just want to make sure, then you can send something like that.

U can send your friend a message and tell him/her that you have been wanting to shut down your myspace thing.

I think that u can explain everything to the people who added you and then they should understand.
