hi,
i'm finishing up my college history research paper and when i started the 'works cited' page i realized i was missing the city of publication.

you see, i don't have the actual book with me, i made copies of it in the library and took down the information for 'works cited' page.

is general there a website that i can check for the book's city of publication?

please help, and i thank for any answers in advance

1, Do a search on the title of the book
2. Try your school library's web site
3. Try looking for the book on Amazon. It might not have the city -- but will have the publisher -- then you can look them up.

Next time you ask something like this -- include the book's name & author.

Yes! Go to the website below for the Library of Congress. Enter the book's title. When a list of titles appears, select the right one and a page will open with all of that information.

call up a friend who has the book and ask him or her where the city of publication is. Either that, or go to the library and rent the book again.
