No they shouldn't.I'm white and I find it very offencive.I don't like hearing it.I have this black friend that would say it around me all the time and it started to really bother me.So I told him if he said it once more that I was going to start saying it and it wasn't going to be pretty. He said it again so I started saying it it took 3 hours for him to finally get the point,He than apologized to me.To this day he has never said it in front of me again and that was 10 years ago.

Personally I am against cencorship in gererall. People should be "allowed" to say whatever the hell they want, peoples reactions to what they say should also be free.
I really don't think anybody should be using derogatory terms, regardless of there own color/race/religion (or anything else for that matter). Of course this is idealistic. I don't think allowing people to say words based on the color of their skin is at all reasonable. Imagine if Yahoo allowed you to say "n-----" because you checked "black" in a box at the start.

wow...once again i am amazed at all the crazy answers on this website...white people really want to use the "N-Word"...please get over yourself....i do not like the word or even use the word but i have also come to realize that my relatives and some friends enjoy it and do not find it offensive...it use to upset me when i'd hear other blacks using the word but i have come to realize that it is just one of those things you don't argue about all the time...it is our choice whether we want to use it or not...as offensive as it is as ignorant as it is as brash and ugly as it is, it is our word!!!
If jewish people want to say
"what's up my k_ke"(illustration)....i would be appalled shocked and dissapointed but i would also understand (kinda)...it's their word it's their choice....and i would never say it but i would eventually get over it!
Peace

I'm black and its a derrogatory word that no one should say. I dont care what derivation of the "n" is used. On the other hand it is just a word. If you answer to what you are called then thats what you are. JMO

I do not use that word. I don't think anyone should. I don't want my kids saying it and I don't want them to hear it. Just not a nice word.

In my hood Everyone who is "cool" can say that word. White ppl say it ALL the time and yes black ppl say it to white ppl too. Its JUST a WORD thats IT, Now a days its just used the same as Dawg, Hommie, G, man, Homles, Its all the same. We got something called STREET CREDIT! If you have street credit then you can say it. But if not then you'll get beat down for saying it. You have to wait untill they give you street credit. You see becaus its Doesnt matter if your Black, or White, it only matters how you handle your bussiness, Ight!

any body can say, it....but most people don't want to hear it. it's a pretty vulgar word . it's not nice.....like calling a chick a "c" word......if you make the mistake of insulting a person by bitter words, be prepared for the ramifications.....

No i don't think ANYONE should be allowed to say it. It is a horrible word and if it's derogitory then it's derogitory regardless of who says it.....that word never perpetuates anything positive.
