When you die, would you want to be buried barefoot? Why?

I have heard that if you don't give the undertaker shoes and socks, that you will be buried barefoot. I was wondering if anyone would want to spend eternity with nothing on their feet?

If a family forgets to bring these, I have packs of new socks that I put on them. I never bury anyone without something on their feet. I do this out of respect for them and their family. Take care!

I'd really rather my body be used for science or the like, so I suppose burial isn't so much an option. If I did get buried, though, like killed suddenly, I would just want to be put into the earth, not in a coffin, not injected with filthy preserves that just make my body poisonous to the earth, just buried to rot, decay, and the such. So sure, if buried, I'd want to be buried barefoot.

I do not wish to be embalmed - placed in a casket - or any of the things we seem to do to our loved ones. I want to be buried beneath the sunshine, somewhere in the woods, wrapped in a quilt.

There is a place like I have spoken about, not sure which state. If nothing else, we'll buy land again and use it for that purpose. No markers, or headstones.. just memories.

hmmm well might not be something most folks take into consideration and so forget to give them the shoes and socks. i'd rather not be barefoot, as i am pretty ticklish and all the creepy crawlies could get to me, however, no one will spend an eternity barefoot, as we all disintegrate faster than that!

umm..heck yeah!! I love nothing more then to walk around barefooted!! so why not be buried barefooted?

I always sleep with bare feet - so the eternal sleep shouldn't be any different....

i wont have feet when i die.......i will be cremated. lol
