I am doing a project about architecture and i need to know certain things. Mainly classes in college that you need to take to become an architect, also the salary of an architect and what type of architecture you work in.

I wish starting was 40k. It is on the coasts, but in the middle more around 35.

Architecture is its own degree usally requiring 5 or 6 years (never less). It is often one of the hardest degrees at a university. For example at the school I went to only 30% of the kids who applied were accepted. In first year we had 200+ students, we graduated 60.

Here's a good site: http://architecture.about.com/cs/careers/a/bearchitect.htm

Congratulations on your weight loss & physical gains! I have worked out in gyms for a long time now. I have only honestly seen 2 people make a living at personal training. I do not mean to discourage you but this is what I have observed. Most bigger gyms will hire you as a personal trainer and as new members come in the new member is given one free personal training session. Now the point is it's up to you to sell these people additional training packages or somehow bring people into the gym from the outside that you can train. That is the hardest part of the job finding clients and selling personal training packages or sessions. Some gyms will allow you to bring in outside clients without them being a member as the gym gets a percentage of what you charge. Most of the time the fee is set by the gym mgr. A lot of the gyms require the clients to also be members of the gym, so you not only have to sell a membership you also need to sell the personal training packages. After the gym membership most people do not have the extra money as a session can cost $50 or more per hour. You also need to have liability insurance. I unfortunately see a very big turnover in personal trainers for reasons mentioned above. Try to get your personal training certification work at that part time while you are still going to school to become an engineer or architect. Hopefully you will be the one who makes that six figure salary.

Lots of math is all I can tell you. Also, I believe Architecture was one of the careers in a recent list I saw that didn't pay as much as most people assumed when first starting out. I believe it was around 40K a yr to start.
