Yes, because parents are afraind to say no to their children in fear they will be mad at them. Parents need to take a stand and take back responsibilites that was given to them when they decided to have children.

My daughter is 13 going on 25! Heck, Yes! All kids (not just girls) are growing up way too fast in this day and age!
However, todays children are a heck of a lot more intelligent than kids of the past! Maybe it has to do with computers, the WWW.
Information is just a keystroke away!
Or, maybe it has to do with parents being more informed! Having a better understanding of life in general (and being able to pass this along to their children).
I honestly do not know! But it scares me to some degree!
In the past 20 or so years, it seems a fad of sorts! Kids are growing up way too fast! Some have never been children (never having enjoyed the wonderful times of childhood)!
IMHO - The world needs to slow down a bit! But in doing so, we risk losing our status as a number one power in the world. Are other societies feeling the same thing? Me thinks so.

It has gotten worse.
I remember thinking I was all grown up and nothing left to learn at 12. So I understand these girls but I can look back on my life and see that I knew nothing. I came from a poor family, single parent, with no guidance. I had to raise myself as my mother was mentally ill (nervous breakdowns). I could very easily gone down the wrong path but somehow (Gods will) I caught myself. I did not want to be that person anymore and I changed. It was not easy for me but any girl can do it. The difference is they have to first see that their behavior is wrong and then want to change.
Yes, girls are dressing lighter and it is more acceptible. When I was in high school (1960's) I was sent home for a dress that was more than 1 inch above the knee and I was humiliated. Bad behavior in teens is nothing new. It is an age you want to experiment and learn your way. But when society says its is fine and the best way to go, something is seriously wrong.
Here is what bothers me more:
Pornography that is rampant and acceptible
Internet dating (how can this be good)
No parents at home enough to raise teens properly (or some that just prefer to not know what their kids are doing)
Way to much Technology for teens and young people like:
cellphones, computer games, laptops, my space, ipods, and
play stations and more. Everything a kids needs to drop out of
society.
My Space (just a great way to get in trouble for teens, lots of
molesters on there who lie to kids.
What can we do as a society for our teens? Just say no. We are no longer going to by this junk that has zapped the brains of our kids. And we wont accept these loose rules at schools and fashion companies who make this sexy attire for young girls and gang attire for the boys. We need to stop buying it.
Lets let out kids be kids, at least a bit longer.

You all should have watched the news the other night.
They had a segment on this very subject, and you would be shocked at some of the things they had to say. (I was).
Bodies developing at an earlier age - 9 to 11 years of age.
Some vaccine the government is considering recommending for girls at the age of 11 (something to do with STDs).
And so on. . .

Yes, the tweenaged years are becoming the new teenaged years.
Girls are getting old too fast. I've been heard about 10 and 11 yr olds talking on cell phones, wearing makeup, showing bellies, & shopping at the mall alone. When I was 11, I still was into kids stuff.
Although at 13, I stopped getting Happy meals.

Absolutely.
I thought it was bad when I was a teenager (I'm 24), but at the dance studio where I teach, it seems like they're more and more grown-up at the younger ages. It's really sad. And too many girls don't have positive, non-sleazy role models or good relationships with their moms. That's been my experience.

Both the boys and girls are growing up far too quickly, in the wrong direction. We as a people allow this, and it has got to stop, for their sakes.
I think many are unable to see what's happening, or refuse to see it.
Children need to be children for alot longer than many think necessary.
Where has all their innocence gone..and why are we allowing it.

They always wanted to follow the flow of the so called fashion. If you are talking about puberty, yeap, they tend to grow faster. But their mentality and level of maturity does not grow with their body and their so called fashion sense.
