No. When I'm going out or staying afterschool, I need my cellphone to call my parents. A lot of the time I stay until after the buses leave and most of the teachers I know are gone so I can't use their phones. Also, I'm really bad at memorizing phone numbers, so having them just there is really best.

Yes. There was life before cell phones became popular and affordable, and incredibly there are many of us who don't need 1000 minutes per month to say something worthless like "I'm walking across the parking lot towards you" or "I'm in the bathroom right now." Cell phones tend to make people plan badly anyways.

No No NO My reason is that I work 25 miles from my home and I go to work at night I need to be able to call my husband if something happens to my van, having my cell phone makes me feel safer.

Yes, we all could. All we NEED is food, water and shelter. You don't need a cell phone to live.
