Unless the leader is Bush, in which case nobody in their right mind would call him a great leader, but since he is a good leader, republicans call him great. In that case, a good leader must be a great leader, or else republicans feel shame.

A great leader is someone who is in the right place at the right time and does the thing that must be done that brings an outcome that deeply affects the country. He is the culmination of historical events and may be a good leader, but may also be mediocre.

Not at all. A good leader is someone who simply does good things for their country. A great leader is someone revolutionary and memorable. Therefore, Hitler could be considered a great leader, even though he did horrifying things, but he is not a good leader.
