I trust my gym teacher 110% and I wanna stay after school with him to discuss a personal problem...and possibly ask him to talk to my parents about it with me? Should I do it?

Teachers are there to help you - I asked my health teacher about a problem with one of my friends, and she pointed me in the right direction, so don't be scared to talk to them!
**I mean my friend was having a personal problem - so I asked the teacher.... I wasn't talking like a cat fight with one of them, it was something different....

As a teacher, no I would not be mad. However, I would have to look at the whole situation. How old are you? Are you a female? Is your teacher a male? If that is so, I would look to find a teacher of the same sex to confide in.
My husband is also a teacher and teaches high school. He would be uncomfortable if one of his female students wanted him to stay after school to discuss a personal problem.
I teach 8th grade and would more than likely stay after. However, I have had some male students in the past that I would not put myself into that type of position.
I am also co-president of my teachers union and would advise my teachers of older students to make sure that the door is open, another teacher is there or outside the door. The list of factors to take into consideration could go on forever.
Did you ask this teacher and they answered no?

Um first of all, grow up. What does her being 80+ and having braces have ANYTHING to do with her being a horrible teacher? If she's so horrible, you'd be able to give us examples rather than putting in this crap. I doubt she's failing you because you hate her. I think you hate her because she's failing you. You need to take a step back and look at what YOU are doing. Are you doing your work without being a jerk about it? Are you giving her attitude? There is such a thing as a participation grade, and while part of it IS just participating, she can definitely take off points if you're doing the bare minimum or doing it with a poor attitude. You need to stop and think about how you're coming across to her. Then grow up and deal with it. There are fewer than 3 months left of school.
