I have defragmented, preformed a disk cleanup, error check, increased virtual memory and I don't know what else to do. The internet opens slow, so does the itunes and lots of other programs. My startup for my computer is fast because i recently took things off the startup. Any suggestions?

Definitely get a spyware checker and might I recommend going to this PCPitstop and running the Full Tests. This site is great and they give you advice and instructions to help your PC run better. Sign up with your email and the site will keep track of your tests so you can compare the results. Make sure you give the correct info for your Internet upload/download speeds. Open the Internet Speed into a separate tab or window to get the results ready for that part of the Full Tests.
Aside from my anti-virus and IE7 slowing me down once in awhile this site really helped me get my laptop running better.

my best bet is that u got a trojan affecting your computer speed
i suggest you go to WWW.download.com and install Adaware and use that progrm to find if u got a spyware on you computer hope it helps
