An interval of time that an event, chain of events, instance or happening, takes place within. It is measured between a start point and an end point and generally repeats, or progresses, in a cycle with the end point of one period being the start point of the next.

But as this question is in the womens health catagory im probably a bit off.

My advice check wikipedia

I'm assuming you're not asking a grammatical question here. Biologically, a period is what happens approximately 14 days after ovulation if an egg had not been fertilised and become implanted in the lining of the womb. The lining breaks down and that and the egg are expelled from the woman's body. Generally happens approximately every 4 weeks though everyone is different. Usually starts happening during pre or early teens and finishes 45 to 55 ish. It's not normally painful but can be a little uncomfortable and unpleasant.

its a little dot on paper sometimes called a full stop, Often used to show when a sentence has ended. Other than that it's a bloody nuisance wonderfully designed by mother nature to flush unused ova from the uterus along with the lining of the uterus in a 28 day cycle, isnt nature clever using the same time period as the taxman

a period is known as menstration and it is at the end of an egg cycle for a female...that means that the egg was not fertilized and is being shed from the body through the vagina...you bleed (which don't worry...it's normal and essential) and you can get muscle aches or cramps in your lower abdomen...but that depends on the person...so basically it is a milestone to becoming a woman and happens to all girls...it can happen as early as 9 but is most common in girls 11-14..email me if you want to know more

If you mean in women terms.....Then it means when the lining of the utreus breaks down and passes out of the viagna because the body was preparing itself for enbedding if a egg(zygote)!!!Oh and i think it's called a period because it happens once a month and last's for 4-5 days.
P.s hoped that helped.....

Well if you mean like menstrual period it's when women shed the unused lining their uterus because they are not pregnant. During this time they bleed vaginally.

If you mean punctuation, it's the thing you end a sentence with.
