My boyfriend loves the Lakers and I want to buy him tickets to one of their home games for Xmas. But I have no clue which team is more exciting to watch the Lakers play? I'm thinking sometime in Janurary. Also where do I get cheap tickets?

There is no way that you will know which game is best to watch until you see them. Some anticipated games are absolute snoozers while others that don't look much on paper turn out to be absolute snoozers.
Having had a look at the schedule for January, the most interesting home game appears to be the match against the Miami Heat on January 15 given the Shaquille O'Neal factor and the fact that they are the defending champion. Alternatively, you can use your feminine wiles on your bf to see if there is a match that he is looking forward too.
You could try getting cheap tickets but the most desirable matches are harder to get cheap tickets for.
I attach the Lakers schedule for January for your reference.

So many good games in January...they play the Dallas Mavericks on the 7th, but the game he'll probably want to see is when the Lakers play Shaq and the Miami Heat on January 15th at the Staples Center. Not sure how much the tickets are but you can buy them right on line at NBA.com or go to the Lakers website.

Definitely the Heat game....So much hype has gone into this rivalry and it should be a big one. If you look at the other games, its like every other game where it just a team versus another team, but the Lakers vs. the Heat is just ginormous! Last year, it broke the record for the most watched NBA game, excluding the Finals. and you got 2 exhilarating player in D-Wade and Kobe. They will put up a show and light up the scoreboard. Better get them soon, they will probably sell out quick

I would go with the Miami Heat on Jan 15 or against the Spurs on the 28th. The Heat game is huge, because Shaq will be in town.
Best place to find tixs, are the Laker website, ebay, stubhub, onlineseats.com, Craigslist, etc. Good luck, those games will be pricey.

Well from a long Laker fan, i think u should take him to the christmas eve game between the LAKERs and the HEAT. If he is a laker fan he will love it. Sadly i can't help u out with the rest, sorry, but ih ope u guys have a good time.

I wouldn't bet on the Heat game just because Shaq might still be out due to his surgery. Even though they said he will be back by then, Shaq historically have always been slow in recovery, and Pat Riley would rather see Shaq back healthy than push him to come back early. I would go to the Dallas or San Antonio game. Dallas and Lakers have bad blood the last few season so it should be interesting. Stub-hub is a good place to check for tickets or check for local LA ticket brokers. They sometimes have good last minute deals.
