I have cingular and the ringtone is a song.

It depends on the carrier, and what the ringtone is.
I have Verizon, and if it is songs, it is usually between 30 and 45 seconds. If it is something else, it will be shorter(ex. someone saying "Pick up the phone.")

My ringtone is like 45 seconds long and keeps repeating it's self.......

Mine is more than that. It really depends on the ringtone you have set, I guess.

with any phone until you pick it up. otherwise it's between 30 and 50sec. i hope this helps!
