Regardless of the fact that the majority responding are against abortion i have to disagree with the masses here.
Abortion is a choice, it advocates freedom of choice for the female. People will always be against it - with there little banners that read "abortion is murder" etc - and that is fine. The freedom of choice and freedom of speech ALLOWS them to think this way and voice their opinion - the same as i have the freedom of choice to disagree and have an abortion should i so choose.
Personally (i am 20wks pregnant) i couldn't imagine having an abortion - i love this baby way to much HOWEVER i would not, i could not, judge another for having an abortion. There are many factors that weigh into the decision of having an abortion - regardless of what some say sometimes it can be the ultimate unselfish act. If they know they can't take care of the baby, give it the life it so deserves, then why bring it into this world? Of course people will talk about adoption etc but that isn't neccesarily the bed of roses its made out to be. Some people that adopt children are cruel - sadistic. There are many children already in the world who will grow up in orphanages or foster care and simply won't be adopted. If i had a choice, i could either have an abortion or i could bring a child into the world where he will be molested from the youngest age, suffer from hunger, incur beatings, enter the drug scene, enter the prostitution circle, grow to be a teenager who has no self respect, no love, and be nothing but a empty shell until his untimely death... well... which would i chose? It wouldn't be years of pain thats for sure!
Don't take away the choice from people, we all of us struggle through life and stumble with obstacles and hurdles placed along the way. We all make decisions - good and bad, and yes some people don't make the same choices as others. Doesn't neccesarily make it wrong... just different.

Abortion is horrible ok ok women have rights welll why dont u just use a condom or Not have sex at all. It is killing a child its murder and people should be sent to jail who do it. a Infant shouldnt have to suffer for the fault of someone else i Know there is the whole thing about rape but it wasnt the babies fault i understand women dont want the whole burden but there is always adoption u could give the baby a better life instead of stiking it in a test tube and sucking the life out of it and breaking the water sac in which it lives and watch it try too gaspe for air its horrible just imagine drowning your trying to get to the top and get some air well thats how the infasnt feels its Not just some tad pole it has a heart it is able to breath abortion is HORRIBLE. No matter what others say abortion is a sin and im Not trying to be all religiouse or what Not but its true i wouldnt want to drown i would like to live and show what i can do....

I don't like abortion because it is probably something 1,000 years from now humans will be ashamed of just like slavery. Yet, if my home is invaded by a prowler, I would use deadly force to stop the criminal and protect my family. So how do I justify my own actions of killing one for the benefit of another but condemn the expecting mothers right to self-preservation by killing? Are any pro-choicers against capital punishment? It is all hypocritical and contradictory.
My state senator is pro choice and anything to do with abortion she supports via legislation yet if someone commits a crime that results in the harm to a fetus then it is suddenly a hate crime and she supports extra punishment. She does not support gun ownership rights despite the constitutional protections thereby denying my right to choose. I don't understand her hypocritical and contradictory position, yet it is simply the same reasoning but at the polar opposite to my beliefs.
In the end why must we try to mandate everything with government? Can't we live and let live by our own accord and not impose our view on everyone else?

How can you frown upon it when you do not know the circumstances. I believe that women should be more responsible with birth control instead of irresponsible and running to get an abortion. But what would you say to the women who was raped and now carries that creeps child? What about the women whose doctor tells her that she has no other choice because the child will not live any ways? Research the matter before you call every woman who has an abortion a murderer.

Well, there are many reasons for an abortion. To use it as a means of birth control, yes it is wrong. The mother and father should have been more responsible than that.
But, if there are health issues for the baby or for the mother, then aborting the birth might be the most humane thing for all involved.
To generically say that all abortions are bad, is a bit narrow minded. You really have to look at each situation individually and make a decision based on the circumstances of each.

I believe women have the right to choose but not in killing another human being. If you have sex and get pregnant then a baby is the consequence of that.
All girls considering to have an abortion should be shown a video of what is happening to the child as it is being aborted. Especially when the girl or woman is more than a month along.

Whew, you sure have gotten plenty of anti-abortion responses, which is I think your position on it. However, you specifically requested sources and info, right? While I am no expert and refuse to say which position I take (because that's up to each individual, not anyone else), a good site to visit for first-hand stories would be www.abortionclinicdays.com It's a blog run by two abortion clinic counselors. They are obviously pro-choice, but it's always good to get multiple viewpoints, right?

Firstly: Abortion has nothing to do with sinning or religion..Keep your religion out of this.
Secondly: I agree with abortion to a point and I disagree with it to a point.
If the woman was raped and was transmitted STD's that could harm the baby or be life threatening, then yes..If the baby has known defects and could not survive outside the womb, then yes...But if it's a way to get out of a childish, ignorant, whorish act then no..Adoption is another BETTER option.

If you want an opinon on it...I say you make the choice to have a baby long before it happens...you decide to have sex or not...that is the choice. There are of course, situations where you don't get to chose, like rape, but I still don't think I could have an abortion.

My 12 yr old is screaming over my shoulder how bad abortion is and it shouldn't be legal, I how ever think it should be up to each state but with a cap on how many weeks old the fetus can be. It will never be outlawed but maybe we can get some limits put on it.
