Do you think racism is becoming more geared towards white people today?

In America, it is becoming difficult to be a white person in our cities. There are specialized scholarships for minorities and Affirmative Action guarantees school positions and work positions for minorities, even if that means putting a white person out of work. Preferential treatment is given to minorities every day, and the "white man" is blamed for every problem minorities have. The white person isn't allowed to be proud of his or her heritage, because that's racist, but it's ok for a black person to have their days or weeks (or even months) dedicated to their history without repercussion. I'm proud of my heritage, but I have to keep that to myself? How come a black man can murder a white man, and it'd be called "murder" and the likelihood for parole is given, but a white man kills a black man and it's called a "hate crime" and there's never a possibility for parole thereafter? In my opinion, BOTH murderers should be given NO possibility for parole. So? What do you think?

I totally agree. I always say this but you have to be careful who you say it too because they'll think ur racist. im not racist in the least. in fact, i took a black women's histor class last year at the university level and the whole year was devoted to talking about how bad the 'white man' is and i had to sit there and take it. i think we should stop being persicuted for what happened to their ancestors. Noone alive today was either a slave OR a slave owner so the sympathy card should stop being played. white people can't blame their downfalls on anyone but in the opposite case, its always okay to blame white people for anything that goes wrong. I think its about time to give it a rest because the sooner we get rid of the double standard, the sooner we can get rid of racism too.

Racism is geared towards anyone who is different from them. I don't know about the specialized scholarships you're talking about. Why would we need them and affirmative action? I think you are complaining because you think you should have everything.
In the past, white people did have pride in their heritage. But they messed up, because they put down others. That is the reason why white pride is frowned upon. White people did that to themselves.
As far as black history month, which is February, the SHORTEST month of the year, what do you think is studied for the rest of the year? Chinese history? Don't think so.
A hate crime is a hate crime, no matter who commits it. You are wrong about that. What about black people being profiled by the police, making it more likely to get caught commiting crimes, while white people get away with crimes? Ever think about that?

You're wrong in your stats. Black History Month is the shortest month of the year; the other 11 are White History months.

Blacks proportionally get the death penalty. But they're most likely to get it when they kill Whites.

I've been a white person in America for nearly 50 years now, and have yet to see any example of this so-called anti-white racism.

I think you are wrong based on the history of crimes today. Racism seems to be in all races now and out of control. Sentencening of crime I agree to a certain degree is unfair most of the times but the law is the law. and every state is different. Instead of putting this on the internet your local government would like people like you to speak up and voice their opinion cause tht how new laws are enacted and things changes and what you desire to see happen can happen and you can attain a victory. So just black and whites are not the main issue here anymore.

i agree with what you say. whites seem to find themselves on the shitty end of the stick more often than not anymore. i suppose it all has to do with "white guilt". i for one would love to see all that bunk be done and over. i didnt own slaves or make anyone sit in the back of the bus or own a business with a whites only sign in it, that was not my era. i dont even recall any racial problems growing up and going to school with other races. seems to me things have gotten worse with the races than better. i will not lay down and be walked on for anyone, no matter what race they are and i will not be ashamed of my southern heritage and it does not include the clan but does include the rebel flag. im a proud southerner not a racist and if another race got a job that ive applied for, i can only hope it was because they were more qualified not because of their race which is how it should always be. god created us all and we are all different and our cultures are different and it has always been fun for me to learn other cultures as well as my own. it helps with understanding. racism will probably always exist in this country. it seems thats what we were based on in the beginning. didnt the white man make this his land by killing and running off the native american? how many native american holidays are there? lets see.......ummmmm.........NONE! we can only live the best lives we can, follow the golden rule and not hate people for their differences but embrace those differences and learn. try not to look at things in such a negative light. some people are mean and hateful no matter what their race is. as for me........i dont hate anyone and i am proud to be white, i dont have anything to feel guilty for nor do any of my family for many generations back. we never participated in racism. anyway, thats what i think.
