Tough call. Both are expressive mediums in inimitable ways. Better a good movie than a bad book and vice versa. Really funny part? The written word is still all important. As in:
" Let's write a movie! " The play's the thing. But so few good writers. The camera ... is insatiable. Even for junk!!

Depends. During the summer I prefer a good book. During the school year, I prefer a good movie - I just don't have time to read a book.

i enjoy both, a movie if im feeling lazy and just want to be entertained, or a book if i want to use my imagination and picture the story in my mind and see it come to life through the words on the paper, for that reason books i suppose are my real preference, because the story you get from a book is what you make it, and not the same as a hundred or so others are seeing at the same time, its more individual.

Defiantly A good movie, I can't be doing with books, they take too long to get to the end of the story

A good book. I hate it when a great book gets turned into a shitty movie.

Two or three things I know for sure by Dorothy Allison.

Not sure how old you are, but I enjoyed this. It is VERY easy to read, and fast as well, a few hours and your done. It was a book we had to read in english class, and I was pleasantly surprised. Hope you enjoy it!
