Get a 200 watt electronic transformer with 4 output terminals, and run 3 separate 1.0²mm flexibles to the 3 longest runs, and use the fourth to loop feed the two shortest, or take two cables from the last pair of terminals, one to each light. Maake sure that your dimmer is suitable for use with the type of transformer you use.

Don't get cable from Halfords they dont have the correct type, unless your bar is in your car!! Also disregard the US references to #10/ 16 gauge etc, that's not uk spec.

Mr Morbid where did you get a quarter of an amp from?? It's 14.5 amps.

5 times 35W equals 175W. 175W at 12 Volts gives current draw of 175 divided by 12, and that equals 14.58 amperes. Thus you need a cable that will handle 14.85 amperes minimum. I would be inclined to use cable as used in a car that will accept a 35 ampere load. That way you have double the capacity for safety.

Suitable cable on reels can be bought from Halfords.

16 gauge wire will work just fine, you are only pushing about a quarter of an amp.

2.5mm^2 will take 18amps. Your project will take about 15 amps.
