This is a debate topic for tomorrow, so I'd appreciate quick replies! So here are the details:
I need a couple REALLY clever questions to ask the other team which represents "Motivation matters more than Intelligence" to prove that no matter how hard you try, intelligence is important (considering the mentally challenged of course)

(pretty challenging..huh?)

Motivation feeds intelligence. You have your whole life to gain knowledge, but without motivation (desire), ignorance snowballs. Intelligence therefore matters more than motivation because your intelligence [has the function of] reminding you to appreciate your ability to self motivate yourself, for the soul purpose of becoming more intelligent.

That's an easy one.
If I want to make money because Oprah has given me $50,000 to invest but tells me I can't ask for help and I get to keep the money I make in the stock market after I give her back the original $50 G's. I am definitely motivated but without the knowledge/inteligence I'll just be going on hopes and dreams.
You can use the gardening analogy too, but if I were you I would stick to food, money and sex to both throw the people off and to keep the thoughts on a personal level
Hope that helps :)))

I think you have to have both, one is know good without the other. The penitentiary's have a lot of intelligent inmates that are intelligent but used it in the wrong way because they had not enough motivation to work hard enough to do something that would pay off in the long run.

I would have to say that the opposite is true. You could have all the motivation in the world.... but without the intelligence to properly channel that motivation into a well thought out plan, it's possible that you'd end up running in circles in an attempt to accomplish your goal.

If we were autos, intelligence must be the right speed and motivation must be stepping on the gasoline. each and every of the stepping on the gasoline contained in the international does not get you very far in a damaged vehicle. mutually, someone in an particularly quick vehicle can vacation at good speeds with hardly stepping on the gasoline. From this attitude an wise individual has an glaring benefit, even if he makes use of it or not is a distinct question.

One's iq range has an upper limit
Say if you have two people, one with a lower iq but motivated and one witha higher iq but lazy.
The motivated person can try hard all of the time and do ok or well. But if the lazy person decides to apply him/herself they can do better.

I think the best way to arrive at an answer is BY DOING THE HOMEWORK YOURSELF!! How in the world can you cultivate an original thought if you pose a question like that in a forum like this?

Motivation will give you the determination to get there, but intellegence gives you a better chance of getting there.
