so im selling my gamecube and a couple of games as i speak so i could buy a wii. i like the cheap price compared to the ps3 and xbox 360. but is it actually worth it? can u play your old games like supersmash bros. melee? or mario cart? how would playing the old games from the nes work? or the snes? also the old gamecube controllers? all help will be greatly appreciated

Apparently the Wii is backwards compatible. The PS3 is supposed to have quite a few problems with PS2 games, although I haven't heard anything regarding the Wii having the same problems.

I personally enjoyed the Wii briefly (my dad bought one for his work). You don't have to swing really hard and break the remote like some idiot on Youtube, but it's a lot more interactive and addicting. It'll probably become a way to exercise!

I think you should buy it if you see yourself buying the games that are coming out on theh Wii.

Yes you can play GC games on the wii. To play nes or snes games you buy them online with the wii.To play them you need a GC controller.I think that the wii is worth buying.

in my opinion maybe! because the PS3 is goin to be crap and i got a 360 and tonight i found out tht i need to buy another 1 b/c the hard drive failed in it...........and the Wii is for people who like mario, zelda and those types of games. i will eventually get one so yea it would be a good buy.
