I would suggest taking it to the car wash and have them put on a premium wax, Turtle Wax is overrated.

any kind of wax is good, some last longer than others but most waxes will be long gone by spring, a good carnuba based wax is probably the best and then take your car to the spray wash once a week during winter and on your final rinse use the liquid wax spray, it works wonders in the winter to keep some protection on your car paint until you can wax it again in the spring.

Turtle wax and carnauba waxes wouldn't last through the winter. NuFinish is a readily available wax that will last but looks are only so-so. Collinite waxes are extremely durable and very good looking.

there are three excellent waxes out there and they are all cannuba, turtle wax and maguiars, are the best, mothers second best maquiars nxt is the best on the market now.

Turtle wax, the kind you rub on, let dry and polish off. Its all I will use and lasts a long time.

nothing beats the good old carnuba wax. you dont have to spend a lot of money.
