Players eligible for free agency are allowed to move to different teams during the off season. Teams may apply the franchise tag to a player preventing him from this, but this player is usually compensated. Players may also be traded. As to the salaries, teams, and players agents negotiate these.

The Broncos' Brandon Marshall. Brandon was unhappy with Denver's coaching change, and on top of that, he's been unhappy with his contract and he is wanting a new deal. Plus, he doesn't like it when people say he was using his hip injury as an excuse not to practice. Assuming he's not convicted in his domestic violence trial and his contract situation is still unresolved, I'd say Brandon will be eager to leave Denver.
