My periods were fine when I was on the pill. I got married, and went off the pill to conceive but I still haven't even had my period and it's been 6 months. I can understand it taking a while to get your system back in order, but not having a period kindof scares me. Could there be something seriously wrong?

this is also happening to me- i'm going to the gyno in 2 days. It is normal for some women to not get a period for several months after you stop taking the pill. Ovulation is supressed by the hormones in B.C. so whe nyou stop, your body needs to start making those hormones again. If you don't get it soon, get a checkup. good luck!

When I went off the pill It took a good half a year for my period to get back to normal. Like you for the first 2 months I had no period at all then after that I would only ever bleed for one day and that's it. Everyone is different so maybe your body still needs adjusting... But if you are worried I'd go see your doctor for some reassurance :)

Good luck chicky! :)

You can be pregnant but there can be other more serious problems. Call the doctor right away and insist on an emergency visit. It could be something wonderful like a baby or it could be a hormonal imbalence. Either way going that long with out a period needs to be addressed by a doctor.

When I had my IUD removed, I stopped getting my period too. My Dr. said I had PCOS (poly cystic ovary syndrome) it's apparently more common than I thought. She told me to lose a few pounds and eat healty. She also prescribed Clomid so that I could ovulate. That seemed to do the trick and I got pregnant in a couple of months. It's best if you call your Dr. and discuss this with her/ him. They can do some simple blood tests to see if there's anything wrong and eliminate anything serious.

Good Luck!

no period in 6 months???...sound like pregnancy to me...

or maybe you had a reaction to the pill...

or maybe it is just taking ur body a very long time to adjust...

or maybe somethin is wrong...

I recommend you visit the doctor just in case...

GOOD LUCK
