Well when I was searching I went to http://search.bbb.org/ and typed in the name, address, or url of the company to check and see if they were legit. I would advise you not to trust any company that is too new, doesn't come up with the BBB, or has any negative rating with the BBB. Some people say that the BBB is all about making their paying members look good but that is untrue. They do cancel memberships or suspend them for investigation if they are found to be doing anything suspicious. As far as chat sites and that they are good to do some research but remember with any company people have good and bad experiences and the important thing is don't invest too much into anything without first making sure you can get a refund if it doesn't work out. I found a great company if you are interested in looking into it go to http://healthybetterme.com/ and fill in the request more information section. There's no pressure with it and you will get lots of information to review before making a decision.
The internet is the best tool, use it. Also sorry but all envelope stuffing is a scam (Many learn the hard way) look for companies with a history of good business and that haven't been changing their name. Good luck I hope you find what you are looking for.

The vast majority of them are scams, but occassionaly there is a real one. The key to telling the difference is in contacting them to find out more. If they are asking you for an application fee, a one time deposit, etc, they are probably scamming you. You'll pay your fee, and they'll disappear. I know of a few legitimate ones that involve some training before hand, some performance tests to make sure you can do the job, and then you get to work from home.... An example is Special Data Processing here in Florida. They don't pay great amounts, but they are perfectly legitimate.

Stay away from Cash Create and other survey Web sites!
It's a waste of time and will cause you unhappiness.
If you choose to get suckered in and sign up to take surveys and receive free trials considered you were warned. The minute you give them your credit card and personal information you have now opened your computer to unwanted cookies on your hard drive, annoying pop-up windows and if you are on a PC you open your computer to viruses that can wipe you out.
