Merry Christmas! It's a Christmas Tree. It always has been. It's never been a Kwanza tree or a Hannukah tree. Why don't some people understand that? If they get offended with Christians and Christmas, too bad. We get offended by them bashing us all the time. If they hate Jesus , then that's their problem. Did I give you a little more answer than you wanted? Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Tree (Cause it is specifically used with only the holiday of Christmas, nobody should get offended by the term Christmas Tree unless someone shows me a Hannakah Tree, a Dwivali Tree, a Ramadan Tree, a Winter's Solstece Tree, a Teachers Day Tree (That's right, I included Confuciousism) etc... hmm there is the Bodi Tree for the Buddhist Religion, but that really isn't associated with a particular holdiay. Buddhism really only has Buddha Day and that's in May, so why would it apply in late November/December/January?)
I say Merry Christmas if the person I am talking to celebrates Christmas and Happy Holidays if I'm not sure what they celebrate. If I know what they celebrate, I'll use their specific holdiay name.

I call my tree a Christmas tree.
If the person I am talking to celebrates Christmas, I will say "Merry Christmas". Otherwise, I will say "Happy Holidays".

I am half Jewish and half Catholic but don't really practice either of them. I have learned over the years to respect that not every Jew wants a Christmas card but still like getting them so I send Holiday cards to everyone that way it covers both sides. As for the tree I still have a Christmas tree, I just like them. I have a Menorah also :)
