first go to http://avatars.yahoo.com and make an avatar!
then come back here and click on the silhouette of the man which will take u to your profile ...and then u click on the edit my info thiing ....and then choose the little circle that says use my yahoo! avatar

In the right hand corner of the page on Yahoo Answers, click on "My Q&A" and then under your picture, click "edit my profile". There should be an option in there to make a new avatar.

I don't know how to get a picture by name but i know how to get a picture of a person. But it's not gonna be a real person (like real people or not pictures of you or anybody). Go to avatars.yahoo.com make an avatar . then save it. There you go! Just like mine! hope that helps =)

Click the shadow head by your name, select "edit my info" and choose the picture you want to post.

what you need to do is create yahoo avatar
you can create one by:
- searching on any site and search for " yahoo avatars "
- the #1 reponse to that should be yahoo! avatars
- click on that link
- and you should be there

You click on your picture and edit you avatar.
