I would suggest a fancy ornament, they have really cool ones at Bombay, with really pretty velvet gift boxes, I think that is a great idea for folks that already have everything.

A gift card to Walgreens, their favorite restaurant, grocery store, etc. With my grandparents being on a fixed income, one thing they really like is the "treat" of going out to eat once in awhile. Or if money is tight due to prescriptions, the Walgreen's card would come in handy.

The grocery card is one that I get for my grandparents. This way they can eat for a week on what we give them on one card. It lasts them awhile, since they bargain shop, and also they were reared during the Great Depression so their food goes a long way!

Seniors do not need excessive junk in their homes. My grandmother reiterates this every holiday and birthday. They are trying to give it all away!

Our family has pretty much everything we need so I went to the Angel Tree at the mall and picked some tags for the homeless. I purchased all the items and then made the donation in a family member's name and told them about it as their gift.
