He's an actor who fought Bruce Lee I want to say in the late 70s around the time tht Jackie Chan began to get famous in his movies. Chuck Norris started to get into the peoples jokes because Conan O' Brien on his late night show began to show old Walker Texas Rangers episodes. He's an expert at
Martial Arts and has a Black Belt in Tae-Kwon-Do, but I don't know what Dan (what level of a black belt) he is. His most favored attack is a roundhouse kick (swing you leg horizontally).

Chuck Norris is an action star from the late 70's into the 80's. He is best known for martial arts movies and paved the way for stars like Steven Seagal and Jean-Claude Van Damme. Most recently he was the lead role on Walker, Texas Ranger.
For some strange reason there has been a rash of Chuck Norris jokes floating around for the past year or so, and I am really not sure where they came from. If you look him up on imdb.com, you can find out a lot of information about him.

I don't really know why he is that well known honsetly or why he has suche a hguge following, I mean he is best known for walker texas ranger, so he is probably the only person who is known for being both a cowboy and martial artist.
It is fun though to say all the Chuck Norris facts.

Chuck Norris was an undeated middleweight karate champ in the 1970's. He starred in Bruce Lee's "Enter the Dragon", he was Walker Texas Ranger, The Total Gym Guy & starred in many other movies. He is a karate expert who practices Tang Soo.
