My foundation (make up) is not old at all but I opened it the other day and it was very thick, can you thin it out somehow without ruin it? Please tell me how? It was very expensive and it's almost 3/4 full.

First, don't add anything to it in the bottle. Not only could it contaminate the product, it might not thin it properly. For example, if your foundation is not water based, water might not blend with it. A better choice would be to mix it with a little moisturizer every morning when you put it on.

Yes there's a way to thin it out. You mix it with moisturizer. Usually in your hand, half part foundation & half part moisturizer. They also sell this stuff called Tinted Moisturizer which is the same exact thing but it's already mixed in a bottle. It's meant for light coverage.

hope this helps :)

Add some lotion and a little bit of water, then shake. Apply with a sponge as well, it will be a lot better for your skin then getting all the bacteria from your hands on your face.

yes. use a sponge first of all to apply it and also mix it with either a sunblock or moisturizer. Also, try to get a palette to mix it one and you can rub with the sponge.

If its water based, use a damp sponge to apply it. However, if it's more than 9 mos. old you'd be better of discarding it.

Add a little bit of water (just a few drops) and shake.

When you apply it, apply it with a wet sponge and dont use too much. You can always add more, you cant take away!
