I really want to work at Guitar Center but they don't want to hire anyone without sales experience. I applied for Radio Shack but I don't want to waste my time on applying for just job. So what are some other stores I can work at to get a commission sales position?

Most sales postions are commission sales. Many departments stores, all car lots, telemarketing.

I just fell into a position like that. At a car dealership. I imagine you'd make more money selling cars that guitars but who knows. So I'd suggest a car dealership, if you can get in with no experiance. Kind of a catch 22. A retail store might work too. You could call that sales experiance.

Sometimes it means they want people to sell for them but they don't pay a wage at all so you have your own income from commissions then have to track your own expenses filling out a schedule C for your taxes and pay self employment income. They can afford to hire hundreds of people because it only cost them if they make a sale. You might not sell anything for months. The foreclosure prevention business will be very hard to find customers. Many people don't believe it will happen, something will save their house, they will catch up with the bills so don't act in time to try to save it. You have to catch them between the end of denial and the actual foreclosure. Many of the foreclosure prevention methods are unsavory. They tell the people they will buy the house and rent it back to them with a rent to own. They know they will never get to own a home again in the next few years. If they can't afford the mortgage they can't afford rent and a rent to own has high rent. Now with the government promising to bail out the over extended homeowner it might be harder to make sales.

I would suggest getting into multi-level marketing if you really need some hard core sales experience without having to apply for a job that you might not get hired for. The only downside to that is the regstration fees and double-talk and lies that they expect you to present as the "truth". They also encourage you to sell the program to friends and family members, but DO NOT do that! There is no easier way to not get invited to the next party.

Well you can get your own cell phone website and make at least $50 per sale, no upfront fees or investment costs, completely free!
