I would love for you to come spend Christmas with us. We've already given our whole lives though, so the pickin's are slim. We welcome you into our home and hearts and are grateful for your love and presence.
We only have one humble request. Could you puh-leeze get rid of the smelly clown bum who's trying to watch us through the window. He keeps peeing in the snow and his breath is so bad I can smell it through the glass.

NO! I LIKE my Peace and Quiet -- and after being a caregiver for a Quarter Century (I'm FINALLY an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree) -- I DESERVE to have a Christmas to myself -- PEACE, QUIET, getting up when I have to and NOT having to cater or do anything or have anyone I do NOT want in MY HOME!
