Some of the Buttons are pressure sensitive on the Dual shock 2 where they're not on the Dual shock. I know the Square Triangle Circle and X ones are pressure sensitive.
Several PS2 games don't mind having a PS1 Dual Shock as the controller. I know that FF10EU doesn't mind, but The Bouncer and Kingdom Hearts did.
Additionally, GT3 PS2 Game could be played with the original "no stick" Pads in some areas. I managed to get a Decent Time with one against a PS2 DS2 pad, but then I did have GT2.

Dualshock 2 has pressure sensitive buttons x, trianle, circle square. Dualshock original did not have this.

actually yes ps2 controller works better
