Going face to face to potential customers is the only way to break into a particular industry without launching a multi-million dollar TV and radio ad campaign. Being in business myself there are times when I need something shipped and delivered the same day and there are companies that do that for me, however, I am more likely to deal with someone who comes to my office to sell me on their service than I would be to call someone through an ad that I saw on the Internet or in the newspaper. As a client I need to have personal contact with my vendors. I feel more comfortable with a face and a warm body behind the $3000 to $5000 check that I write out for their services. I wouldn't feel too good about shelling out that kind of cash to a faceless corporation with a 3x5 ad on the back page of the sports section.

Try cold-calling local businesses, or go door-to-door in the local industrial complexes with well-printed pamphlets. A little face-to-face time can go a long way!
