I buy fancy beer, Lindemans fruity beer for $10 instead of just $3 Guinness
a few times a year I do that
also, on my birthday I bought more food for breakfast than I usually do, like $8 instead of $4
I buy things on ebay sometimes too that I don't really need
I used to get massages, wow they were good

I light a candle that has a nice scent and lay down and relax. I feel that I do not need to spend money on things to make myself feel better. I feel that it is a temporary fix to buy myself something for the sole purpose of making me feel better. I get a lot more joy out of spending time meditating with a candle and relaxing.

I usually resort to retail therapy. It almost always winds up being a new pair of shoes or some jewelry, but recently I've discovered expensive jeans. That may be my new thing. My poor husband.
