Super Bowl hangover, it happens to nearly all Super Bowl winners. Key free agent losses and the retirement of "The Bus" cost them a lot of the leadership they enjoyed last season. Injuries havent helped and the soap opera that was Big Ben over the summer certainly didnt help. They need to regroup and re- dedicate themselves to the goals they had last year and they will be fine. There is still plenty of talent wearing Steeler black.

1. Cowher apparently retired last season and became a statue on the sidelines.
2. Big Ben still has bats in his belfry and should have been benched weeks ago. Head trauma can take up to 18 months to heal.
3. The offensive line has become truly offensive.
4. The D hasn't put in a full days work yet this season.
5. There have been no leaders on the team to step up to fill the void left by Bettis.
As a life long, die hard Steelers fan, alls I can say is, I've seen it all before and will always love this team. For those of you who can only root for winning teams, you are not fans of the game. You are just casual observers and beneath contempt.

Obviously they are the same team as last year, it's just I think their schedule was in their favor a year ago. The story last year was were the Colts going to go undefeated and with all the hype around that, Pitt snuck under the radar. They wormed their way out of a defeat last year against the Colts in the AFC Championship game and had an inspiration in Bettis in the Super Bowl. If Bettis would have never decided to retire, they wouldn't have made it that far. I think it was a one time deal last year and the football gods favored them.

Where to start: A) No running Game, B) Offensive line not cohesive, C) No pass rush, D) Overrated QB. The Steelers got hot last year because Bill Cowher is a great coach and motivator. He got those guys believing in themseves and each other. And they won. Now, it seems that they are not hungry. plus I don't think the QB is all there since his accident.

I think Roethlisberger hasn't been the same... Also, Bettis was really important last season, but now he's gone.
Owens is not helping to the team's spirit..
There are many things, but next season will be great! you'll see! :)

QB beat up, no running game, a coach who wants out, draft picks that are fumblers and a team that thinks they are the champions and forgot they have to play this year too.
