Is there two burners in a computer?

i have built in burners in my computer...dvd and cd and my computer still burns dvds but it wont copy the cd to a blank disk? i have cleaned my drive, i have tried everything? i have used nero, windows media player, NTI,...i have a windows xp acer computer. i dont know how to unistall a program cause they came with the computer when i bought it? what else can i do? the programs burn the cd but when i insert the blank disk it only copies two songs and says read error. i am using high quality disks cd-r.
please help
im copying from my cd say now hits of summer onto my computer then i copy it to blank disk...so yeah cd to cd? i heard some one say if u burn to many things your drive will die is this true?
in all the burning programs i have used it copies the cd then ejects the disk and says insert the blank disk, so i put in the blank disk and it starts copying for a few seconds and then rejects the disk and says error?
please help

Good day. Whew! lol Yeah if u keep burning and burning yeah the device may die especially if u are burning Cds to fast. How long u had the cd burner? if a long time, then it died most likely. Happens a lot u wudnt believe. Get a new one. Its cheap & simple to replace. Laterz

lol this happened to my Best Friend i went over and told him to use the My Computer Copy just go in My Computer Select the drive Copy Files From the origonal then paste your burner will pick this up and transfer

you have 2 burners and nero do you have an original disc? if so put it in one burner choose disc copy in nero put a blank disc into the other drive and copy
