One website says the following:

"The evidence for evolution has primarily come from four sources:

1. the fossil record of change in earlier species
2. the chemical and anatomical similarities of related life forms
3. the geographic distribution of related species
4. the recorded genetic changes in living organisms over many generations"

It goes on to explain each of these...

A) Hypothetical observation - Darwin formulated the theory of evolution by observing the diversity, yet remarkable similarity between many different species of different types of animals throughout South America and the Galapagos.

B) Direct observation - On a smaller time scale, we have seen evolution within our own time - albeit not exactly via natural selection. Insect populations have become tolerant to pesticides, because those not killed off live to reproduce and pass on the trait that made them resistant. Likewise supergerms in hospitals have developed resistance to many modern anti-bacterial treatments (within the body) and sterilization chemicals (outside the body). Lastly - by reviewing medical records of mankind within the last 200 years - one can see that humans of today tend to be much taller than in the past.

C) The Fossil record - There are missing links for many species, but the fossil record does show what lived once before - and it is possible to relate potential ancestors to modern day animals - and see how they have changed over time. The biggest problem with the fossil record however, is how easy some finds can be missinterpreted.

D) Experimentation - Greger Mendel came up with some of the first genetic experiments that tend to support how the evolutionary process works - BEFORE Darwin came up with his theory. While experimentation has not provided speciation (creating a a completely new species from an exhisting one) in higher life forms, we have seen how adaptation can occur. Take dogs for exhistance - selective breeding has created hundreds if not thousands of different dog breeds each uniquely different from each other. Yet EVERY dog today can interbreed with a wolf and produce viable offspring - indicating that dogs have not yet separated from wolves as a new species.

1. you believe it so therefore see everything through that prism
2. You are convinced by the 'just so' explanation for the eruption of life.
3. You overlook inconveniences like how transitional forms(like dinosaurs accruing by magic some feathers)would be advantaged by this to the point they would be more successful breeders.
4. You hate the idea of a 'God' so everything in the evolution story(argued by 'megaphone' over evidence) makes wonderful 'sense'.
How about that?
