Yes, it's possible. For this to occur, the mother must be AO which means that while she is type A, she also carries blood type O that can be passed on to her offspring. The father must be type O or have the same genotype as the mother (i.e. AO, type A; BO, type B).

If the father is AA or BB, he is not the real father.

A type is dominant over O so if the person has the genotype of AO, then the child can be O. Positive is dominant over negative. For an O- bady both parents have to have a gene for O and a gene for negative.
