when i take my maekup off at night, some of my eyelashes break. which really sucks. and when i put makeup on in the morning and use the eyelash curler thing (has scissor-looking handles), they also break. is there any way to prevent this and still use the eyelash curler?

Buy a conditioner for your eye lashes. Sounds crazy, but it truly exists. Wear it to bed each night and stop curling your eye lashes for about a week or two. Yes, people will notice but they'll notice the effects of the condition lashes even more after you give them a resting time. Also, make sure when you say your lashes are breaking, that it's not just the mascara you put on!

i suggest getting a different eyelash curler.
if not, then try using Covergirl Queen Mascara. it works like a curler without the breakage. Also try taking off your makeup as soon as you get home if you dont plan to go anywhere else that day. That helps your face rest.
if you're thinking of wearing fake eyelashes, dont. they'll cause more damage to your eyelashes and you'll get sick of wearing them and it'll show your broken lashes.

hope this helps

Besides getting a new eyelash curler, you can try to stop using waterproof mascara. It takes the moisture out of your lashes, causing them to be more likely to break or fall out. Try to look around and find a Conditioning Mascara. Mary Kay used to make one, but they've changed the formula to Endless Performance, but I haven't had a problem with breakage with the new formula either.

you really actually need to stop wearing makeup, your poor lashes are exactly like your hair, if you keep dying it and combing it it will fry and break. I'd suggest changing mascara to a lengthening and curling type, dunno what type you use but I have noticed if you try and change brands your lashes stay more 'bouncy'. but, if you don't like any of those tips above. I'd really strongly suggest trying to put lotion on your face and trying to get it on your lashes (but not in your eyes, if you know what I mean) the lotion will help them get stronger and better. Good luck

backk off of the make up for a while, if you use too much eye makeup, it can damage the cells in your eyelashes, which causes them to break
