I really liked the South Park episode about it. Which game is the best and more like D&D, how do I get into it because I'm reluctant to embarrass myself with live humans even online and I have no friends, and how much does it cost?

World of Warcraft is the MMORPG that they played on South Park. It's a great game and when you initially start to play you don't really interact much with other human players - you mostly complete quests on your own - each designed to help you learn the game better.
As you level up you start interacting more with other players (quests become harder, it becomes more important to join a party to complete them). By then you should be skilled enough not to embarass yourself at all.
The basic cost of the game is $20, with 1 month free subscription. After that it's approx. $15/month for access to the servers to play.

From what I get with your question, you are interested in getting into MMORPG's, but you dont want to play specifically what they play in the game, "World of Warcraft".
Some other games that are possibley more user friendly are Starcraft, or even Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth (2). Both of these can be found at your base video game price, around $40-50, Starcraft might even be $30.
If you would like to test out the waters with MMORPG's you can use a fun freeware (free) game. A great example of this is Maple Story, MapleGlobal.com/Nexon.net. Maple Story is probably one of the best free MMORPG or even computer game out there.

World of Warcraft is the most popular MMORPG in the world (monthly fee's like: $15/month).
I would choose Guild Wars, because it only requires you to buy it at a store.
Also, there are free MMORPGs like MapleStory (http://www.mapleglobal.com if you live in the Americas). It's 100% free.
I like to play the MMORPG Ragnarok Online (http://www.animaro.com). It is supposed to be a pay-to-play, but there are private servers like the one at the address listed. Download's around 2 hours with DSL, but it is 100% free (on a private server), and there is lots to do.

There are free MMOPRG downloads in GamenGame.com, but you have to register first. If you don't want PC MMOPRG, try Warcraft. PS:Final Fantasy is not a MMOPRG, it is an RPG.

the game featured on south park was World of Warcraft i personally havnt playe3d it but my friend tells me its a good game u 1st need to buy the game at walmart or somewhere then sign up online i guess with $19.95 subscription fee or somewhere around there

to get into the best mmorpg buy Final Fantasy XI for either PC or PS2 or even XBox 360 (make sure u have internet) install it and start playing ...... people will call u noob at first but u will get the hang of it and get higher levels and get better than everyone who called u noob or u can sign up for free mmorpgs like runescape or guild wars (u gotta buy guild wars)

If you want get Guild Wars, must like WOW (world od Warcraft) but u only pay for it once, not monthly.. You can find it on EBAY for under $30.00
