How can I locate an IP Address to see if the emails are comming from the same location or the same computer. Scammers invade all our rights, I seek all answers and all help in my investigation in this matter.

Will try and help you, as you don't say if the email came in via yahoo or hotmail, or some other email service.

You need to go to your options on the right hand side just above the email and open. Then look for mail preference, (depending on what service the email came in). Then you need to check off where you see "header option", Full Header", then drop down and save.

Now you go back and open the email again and the complete full header should show. You will see where the email originated from via the ISP, address. Then you can use your search engine to find a free whois tool. As I use a purchased software from New Zealand, "SmartWhois".

Copy and paste the IP address where the mail originated and it will give you the address, country and name of the ISP.

If the email came from yahoo, you also have to forward back to them as an "Inline Text". abuse@yahoo.com Failure to forward with a full header or inline text Yahoo will not respond or perform an investigation to close out the account of the originator broke the EULA, agreement with Yahoo.

Hope this is of help to you.

If you are communicating with someone from Nigeria that you do not know, be wary. The US state department has noted numerous scams that are coming from Nigeria, especially if they are promising you money. Hope this helps!
