~i have had this penpal that lives a state away 4rm me..and i love this kid 2 death (is a guy) and i realllllly wanna meet him in person i know hes not a predator cuz ive talked 2 him on the phone and what not....but how do i convince my parents to go see him?..and how do i come up with the money??...

First of all, why are you spending your money to see him? Let him spend his money to come and see you. If he cares for you, then this should not be a problem, as it appears you are the one without cash.
Secondly, under no circumstances meet this guy in secret or alone. If he is insisting on that, then there is something wrong with the picture and he may not be as nice as he is letting on.
One thing about a predator is, they don't often wear a tatoo on their forehead that says so. I would advise taking it slow and meeting him only with the knowledge of your parents. If that is not possible right now, then wait a while. If he truly cares for you, he will wait. And if he won't wait, then you are better off because eventually there would be heartache ahead.

It would be horribly irresponsible of your parents to allow you to travel out of state to meet a penpal by yourself. And I know you've probably heard it a bunch of times, but just because you've talked to someone on the phone, doesn't mean you shouldn't be cautious. The best suggestion I can think of is to ask your parents to come along. They would be more comfortable having met your penpal (and confirming for themselves that he's not Sylvester Molester), and would probably let the two of you hang out in a public place like the mall or the movies, or at his house after meeting his parents. For your benefit, if your one of your parents comes, chances are you won't have to pay.

Wow this is hard because ive done this before...Its hard because i dont no your parents...And even though you have talked to him on the phone doesnt mean he isnt a predator.If he isnt a predator then he will come to your state.If he has a lame excuse what can ya do? you should give your parents a hug for caring,and i no this isnt what you were looking for but it Is true.Any guy could sweet talk a girl,especially if ur a teen or younger.If you Do go then be careful,all we need is another murder or something like that.WATCH OUT PLEASE!!

no offence, but even if you talked to this guy on the phone, if you've seen his picture, if you've seen a video of him, he could still be a predator. even if his isn't, long distant relationships usually don't work. i know from expirience. if you do convince your parents and get the money, then meet him in a very PUBLIC place. trust me, the world isn't as safe as all that!
