Your doc will probably schedule another ultrasound later in your pregnancy, so you can ask again then, or you can ask them to check again. Most of the time, they are correct, though as in anything, no one is perfect. When my son was born, the couple next to us was told they were having a boy and a girl popped out! For the most part though, they're pretty accurate. it just depends on the way the baby is sitting, but if they took lots of pics and they're all pointing at the baby beinga girl, you should be alright/\.

I think you need to calm down first. Take a deep breath! I know how you feel though. I'm pregnant now and it's a girl and I already have a boy. Like you EVERYTHING is done for a girl. I've had five sonograms this pregnancy though and two which have confirmed that it's a girl. I feel better about it knowing that two different techs said it's a girl and also when I was pregnant with my son it was so obvious that it was a boy. There was no mistaking that. You should just calm down and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. I'm sure that if they looked good enough for the gender in the sonogram then they are probably right. Yea, sonograms are never 100% but I've never met anyone personally who had been told one thing and had the other. Best of luck!

Oh that has happened loads of times. Ultrasounds are not always clear enough. I have a friend who has three children, the first two are boys, when she was pregnant with the third, she got several unltrasounds done, and everytime she would get an ultrasound done, the doctor would say, "it's a boy", and they would point "his parts" and stuff, but she got the feeling that they were wrong, she always felt that she was having a girl. Everybody bought baby boy things, everything was blue and stuff, and she had a girl. And like that, I heard loads of others. I got my baby's room ready after the third ultrasound, three times they told me it was a boy so I got ready and they even said "we're almost sure it's a boy", it's hard to be a 100% sure. You're not being paranoid, those mostakes happen a lot

2D ultrasounds are so fuzzy and shadowy. They couldn't tell me for sure what I was having until I was 33 weeks along. The truth of the matter is, your doctor may not schedule another ultrasound if all seems well. If you are really worried and want a more definitive picture, get a 3D ultrasound done. In the US, you can usually find a company who will perform a 3D ultrasound (and they are perfectly safe) which will give you a much clearer picture of the various body parts. Gender determination is usually stated as a feature in their packages. From what I've seen, packages usually start around $100.

Your probably safe but it is slightly more likely that they are wrong when saying it's a girl then a boy. The reason is it's easier to miss boy bits being hidden then if you actually see all the boy parts.
If the tech looked a couple of times though you're probably safe.
I sure hope this is right since we were told we're having a boy :D
Otherwise try and have a 3D ultrasound because their better pics.

Geez, now all of you are making me nervous..lol. I have 3 boys and Im pregnant with my first girl. I was so excited when they told me it is a girl. Now with the boys ultrasounds, I knew what to look for , and always saw the boy part clear as day. Then with this ultrasound I had no idea what I was looking at except that it was 3 lines and she told me it was a girl..lol, So I sure hope she is right, because my baby already has her name and everything too.

How Funny!!!,
I know how you feel :) I am 1 of 6 kids (I have five brothers). So I really wanted a girl, my first US was a 2D at 11 weeks and it was way too early to tell, I then had a 3D at 17 weeks and was told it was a girl, I made the technician look up and down my baby to make sure lol, well I had another 3D at 25 weeks and one last week at 33 weeks and yep she is still a girl. I guess I just won't believe it until I see her. Good luck to you and your little one ;)

ultrasound techs are really good at their jobs....When i was pregnant with my daughter i had my US at 20 weeks and my OB told me that she has been doing this job for over 20 years and if she writes the sex on my chart then she was 100% sure of what sex it was but if she didnt then she wasnt quite sure...turns out she was 100% right i have a 21 month old baby girl! Just try to relax and dont throw away reciepts just in case

I was told my daughter was a girl and she's a beautiful almost 3 year old girl. I was also told my son would be a boy and he is. The ultrasounds can be pretty accurate but don't get too upset if they were wrong. It isn't 100%.

I had my ultrasound completed whilst i exchange into 17 a million/2 weeks. It exchange into very clean that it exchange right into a woman. I had a extensive-unfold exterior the tummy one. yet don;t be suprised in case your infant feels like an alien, lol for the reason that infants havent progressed very many facial valuable properties at that element! needless to say i presumed she exchange into amazingly appealing yet my husband suggested she regarded like the predator from the videos! It exchange into enormously humorous however. yet as long as he/she is moving around they are able to work out the gender of the baby. merely be careful because of the fact some wellbeing middle purely make it easier to do one ultrasound! Im now 29 weeks and that i choose to have yet another ultrasound until eventually now I bypass to my family individuals in ohio in a week so they are able to work out the version between 17 and 29 weeks yet i do no longer think of they are going to do yet another one :(. only one thing to ask your healthcare expert approximately! solid luck and congrats! Oh and you'd be on the verge of tears once you notice your infant for the 1st time! It makes all of it particularly worth jointly as!
