I have in my possesion a Marvel Legends 12" Venom Collectors figure. The exact one as this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Marvel-Legends-ICONS-12-VENOM-INCLUDES-COMIC-BOOK-NEW_W0QQitemZ320052621810QQihZ011QQcategoryZ348QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

However the one I have, the name is misprinted and instead of saying "Venom" it says "Hulk". I was told it could be worth a lot more since it's a very rare mistake. And a collectors item. I know nothing about how rare things are worth or prices. I was just wondering if anyone knew how much it could be worth. Or if it wouldn't even be worth selling.

Thanks for any help!

There's a very small market for stuff like that, but what market there is tends to be fairly interested in all types of error figures. I once heard of a Robin figure that was mis-packed so the figure was upside down which sold for well over $200.00 to a collector of such oddities.
Your best bet would be to do one of the following:
Check with a comic dealer that you trust to see what they think.
Post it on ebay at a value of not less than you would have paid for it.
Keep it until the figure is "retired" then do option 2.
Just open it and display the figure in the manner it was meant to be and stop worrying about "in the package" values and resale.

1. Ghost Rider 2. Daredevil-(great stand) 3. 1st Iron Man variant 4. Completed Giant Man -plus the 10 figures I needed to complete him. I like the Toy Biz Marvel Legends so much better. I like the Marvel Legends Icon series Captain America too. They need to make a Bucky figure. If you are looking for individual pieces flea markets and yard sales always work for me.

My best advice in your situation would be to take it into a comic collector shop. Ask the guy if he can give you an estimate of what its worth. In many cases they will buy it from you.

Good luck,

Yes but you can probably get the most off of e-bay.
